El Programa Oportunidades, iniciado en 2007, busca empoderar a jóvenes salvadoreños de escasos recursos mediante herramientas que mejoren sus vidas. Su objetivo es reducir la brecha educativa y formar ciudadanos íntegros y preparados. Combina conocimientos técnicos con habilidades blandas a través de un currículo innovador adaptado a las necesidades tecnológicas. Es el único programa que ofrece excelencia académica complementaria, formación integral superior y acceso a empleo, guiando a los jóvenes en tres fases con el apoyo de profesionales.

To increase the opportunities for social inclusion and success of limited-resourced and high-achieving young women and men through a holistic education that coaches and guides them through high school, higher education, and their first job.

To be the leading program in academic excellence and holistic education that transforms Salvadoran youth with limited resources and high academic performance into agents of positive change in their communities in El Salvador.

The Oportunidades program has developed a unique philosophy that combines career counseling with a set of values known as "CRIARSE," civic education, and employability certification — a formula that continues to encourage young people to pursue their dreams, believe in themselves, find their purpose in life, and thus contribute to a better future for El Salvador.

Our Program

Empowering young lives through Education, Digital Transformation and Employment

PHASE 1: COMPLEMENTARY EDUCATION

Through an innovative educational curriculum, students ages 14–16 with a strong desire to succeed are prepared and empowered to improve their prospects for higher education and employment.

PHASE 2: HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS AND SUPPORT

Oportunidades, in collaboration with the Program's 16 partner universities, offers scholarships and access to educational funding to young people pursuing technical, engineering, or bachelor's degrees.
